Reader Response
Inclusion of special education students in general education classes is both educationally sound and legally mandated. But even more important, sound teaching strategies are effective for all students and, therefore, make sense for all classroom settings. This web page focuses on the specific needs of middle and high school students because they are often ignored in the educational literature. Also, by the time they have reached middle and high school, many students may feel like failures in schools, so it is vital that we find powerful strategies to help them engage in learning.
