STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

To provide a safe, clean and sober environment for the purpose of recovery from the disease of chemical dependency.

The goal of the Primary Purpose model is to allow affordable recovery, with low monthly fees met through Federal, County, and Private Financial Aid.

HISTORY

Founded in 1984 in Santa Rosa, California, Primary Purpose has been dedicated to the personal well being and growth of men who have expressed a sincere willingness to deal with the disease of chemical dependency.

In 1990, the Albion property was acquired to provide an ideal rural setting. In this social model program, the residents themselves are empowered to take responsibility for their living environment. To date, more than 400 residents have participated in the Albion Primary Purpose experience.
